This is my take on #farmhousechallenge Based on my original farmhouse, this property reimagines the purpose of a farmhouse. The attention is no further centered on practicality and simplicity but rather comfort, luxury, style and tranquility. The tranquil garden has been gifted with a generous pool, surrounded by a lovely terrace that ticks all the right boxes. An outdoor kitchen enables seamless indoor-outdoor living. Entering the house, you may find an extremely bright and inviting entrance-hall which contains a staircase, taking you up into the second story of the original building. To your right, you will find a generously sized bathroom, providing everything one needs for a relaxing spa experience. Leaving the entrance hall to the left, the visitors are lead into the private library. Read a fantastic book on one of the comfortable chairs in front of the ancient fireplace. Following along, one steps into the main living room, where tradition meets modernity once more. Centered around another fireplace, minimalistic couches provide a cosy yet elegant environment. Coming from the living room, the visitors are entering the dining room. Here, another staircase catches the attentive eyes, as well as the round dining table, arranges with contemporary chairs. The dining area opens up to a new addition to the ancient building, in which the master bedroom and the kitchen are located. A highlight of this area is certainly the two-stories high ceiling in the small sitting area. Taking the staircase up to the master bedroom, one finds a cosy bed and a hidden walk-in closet. Big windows let in tons of natural light, enabling the owners to enjoy the beautiful environment their retreat is located in. Going back to the entrance area in the original building and moving up the other staircase, one finds a guest-bedroom and bathroom, as well as a greatly sized home-office. The barn finds a new purpose as a two-car garage and a shed and the original restroom-building now features a whirlpool and a champagne bar for the colder days.
